Offering basic yoga postures with encouragement to expand and express what feels good. Start the week off with a practice in a warm room (20-25 degrees) that creates heat in the body, relaxation in the mind and rejuvenation in the soul. Bring your yoga mat and any props you may need.
Based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar, Father Joe Pereira and Ryan Leier, This practice is focused on alignment and longer holds in postures. This class creates a feeling of wholeness. In this class, classic poses are broken down and offered in a way to create steadiness and comfort. For those new to yoga or those looking to incorporate a deeper look at the postures, this class is for you. Bring a yoga mat and all the props you can find.
The last class of every month is a workshop, where group discussion and explanation of the use of props in poses is offered.
Through the direct teachings from Srivatsa Ramaswami and Ryan Leier, this class will place postures in a specific sequence with focus on deep breathing. Every class is intended for all body types and practice levels and with a different variation of routines and subroutines of the standing postures, seated postures, one leg postures, supine postures, triangle postures and meditative postures.
